What is a mini session? Well, our Robin, Sparrow and Lark Mini Sessions are essentially like “get to know you” sessions. Most people may feel overwhelmed by all of the choices of photographers and their products. I know it can overwhelm me sometimes too! So we have created these mini sessions to help you ease into your photography experience.
Our Robin Mini Maternity Session is great for Maternity Sessions. You know you want to be able to capture this special time in your life and the new life of your little one, but you are not quite ready to move to our exclusive Belly to Baby Collections. This is a great starting point. The Robin Mini Session includes a half hour of shooting time within 10 miles of our Pasadena studio. We have so many great parks around here, the options are endless. We will get to know each other and be able to capture around 5-10 amazing images of you and the Belly!
Then after your images are processed you will be invited to the studio for your fun viewing session, and will be able to see the careful process we have established to make your images look legendary. Your friends and family will all be jealous! All prints and products are a la carte after these mini sessions. And once you get the photography bug and know you want to continue on your photo journey with us and your new little one, you can use the price of the Robin Mini Session towards our Belly to Baby Collection to capture that first year of your little ones life.
The Sparrow Mini Family Session is great for Family Portraits and those that have been using the mall type photography shops for the last several years, and would like to have some great new images that actually showcase the love the family has, and not the kids screaming, mum being stressed, and dad being annoyed experience that you usually have. It’s amazing how much more you can get done in our 30 minute mini sessions, outside in a natural setting, then being stuck in the back of a shop in the mall. We spend about five minutes getting to know the children and making them comfortable and then we see where they lead us. It may be playing on the swings or a statue, or throwing some leaves in the air, but it will always be cute. They are your children after all!
Your personalized viewing session will most likely blow your mind if you are used to the dull lifeless images from the mall. We go through all your captured “best of the best” images, around 5-10, and use our a la carte menu to find some products to showcase these lovelies in your home. If you decide to go with one of our Portrait Collections like our Heather, Bluebell, Poppy, and Snowdrop Collections the Mini Session value will be transferred and deducted from the collection investment.
Lastly the Lark Mini Engagement Session is for those Newly Engaged looking for a wedding photographer. Now, I personally think that wedding photography should not be skimped on. You put so much time and energy into choosing the caterer, DJ and venue and other tiny details to give your guests a great party, but what will you have after the big day? Only your memories and your wedding photographs. And the photographs help you remember your wedding, as most couples I work with say the day goes by in a blur. But who do you choose to capture something so important? This can be a hard choice and one of the most important of your wedding experience. Don’t settle for good enough. Use this Lark Mini Session as a “get to know you” or in your case a “get to know Nicola” session. Spend time getting to know each other in a mini Engagement Session and making sure this is the person (Nicola), besides your partner, that you want to spend 90% of your wedding day with.
For the Lark Mini session we will choose one location, say one groovy park, and use the different trees and gardens for half an hour to have a “lark” around. For your viewing session we can have a glass of wine and go over your groovy images and pick some great ones for social media sized files, i.e. let’s show off on Facebook! Again, all prints and products are priced a la carte, but you can use the mini session investment towards your wedding collection such as the Unforgettable, Souvenir and Keepsake Wedding Collections.
