A Little Lady {Audrey is One}

Audrey is the perfect mix of her parents. She is a little lady like her mother, and I think she is going to be super smart like her dad. She is still very petite, and is working on the whole standing and walking thing, but I know she will be running all over the house pretty soon, causing lots of trouble! Watching her grow from a bun in the oven to three, six, nine and twelve months has been so amazing. I am sad that we have finished our Belly To Baby First Year Series, but know that her mum and I are now friends and I will still get to watch Audrey grow.

My favorite things about Audrey:

Her fashion sense – good job mum!
Her big brown eyes
Her giggle – makes me giggle thinking about it
Her expressions – even when she is not smiling she has the best expressions
Most of all the fact that I get to be her photographer!

Welcome to January! We have lots of exciting things happening this year and this month is no exception. Next week we are taking part in the California Baby and Kidz Expo in the Pasadena Convention center on Saturday January 21st from 10am to 6pm. We are so excited to be able to be a part of this great event and to meet so many loving parents in this area.

We will be having a raffle at the event with some amazing prizes from local vendors and of course myself. We are giving away THREE of our Sparrow Mini Sessions. This is a great way to get to know our studio and what it is like to have a professional photography session with your family. We also have prizes such as delicious aroma candles, an estate planning certificate (very important when you have children to care for), a membership at The Little Gym of La Cañada or Monrovia and many more. Thursday’s Wedding {Jamie and Taylor}

What can I say about the Williams and Price families? Well, they are pretty much some of the nicest people I have met. They make everyone feel like family. After having know Taylor for a couple of years and being able to capture the proposal and the engagement session I was eager to finish out the full hand and capture the wedding images. It was a beautiful warm October day and all 72 members (really 23 and a few children!) of the bridal party looked amazing. And Jamie…the most beautiful of them all. Not only was her dress amazing, but she was really relaxed and glowing all throughout the day. The ceremony at St Bede’s was flawless and Jamie’s dad made an appearance to officiate part of the ceremony.

The reception was at The La Cañada Thursday Club, a place with close family ties. Taylor’s grandmother used to be a member there and has a bench dedicated to her outside in the little front courtyard. The whole place was beautifully decorated by Jennifer from An Unforgettable Occasion, with the color Jamie chose that went perfectly with everything, and one of my favorite colors, purple! The cocktails were delicious, so I was told! They looked amazing so that works for me! And the food was delicious too. I think two of the best parts for me of the night were the speeches by the two best men and maid of honor. They really know and love both Jamie and Taylor and seeing that was really special. And then I think the best part was the dancing. Wow. I don’t know what to say about the dancing other than there was some stuff I had not seen before, and I have seen a lot of wedding dancing! These families really know how to party!

This was a great way for me to round up my 2011 weddings, and as they say, we saved the best ’till last. Congratulations Jamie and Taylor and I look forward to the next family event!

A Cheeky Holiday {Kayla}

Little Kayla has her parents, especially Dad, wrapped around her little finger! And quite rightly, too. She has these huge blue eyes and a lot of funny faces in her repertoire. She is just learning to sit so I used my magic powers to help her become an expert in sitting, and we captured some amazing images of her cheeky face…and her other cute cheeks too!

A Year In the Life {Emma Noelle}

This is the final slideshow for Emma Noelle after completing her Belly to Baby First Year Collection with us. This shows Emma and her family from Newborn to One Year. Her mum and dad are so proud and I am as well. It was such an honor to capture this first year of her life and I look forward to continuing as she gets older, taller and even cuter!!!!

It was a typical Southern Californian day with not a cloud in the sky. All the family were gathered to see these two people tie the knot on the beach. Her dream setting. Julian was in his dress military uniform along with some close buddies, and Bridgette looked beautiful in her strapless gown. Bridgette best men were dressed in their casual “tuxedo shirts”. Excellent. The waves were crashing and the love was flowing. You can tell that these two are best friends. The whole day was filled with their love for each other and their families. It was honor to be a part of it. Have fun in Europe on your extended honeymoon. I’m jealous!

Baby Blue Eyes {Emma’s 1 Year Session}

Ummm…so cutest baby in the world or what?????? I have had such pleasure watching Emma grow up over the last year with our newborn and six month sessions as part of my Belly to baby Collections. Every time I see her she just gets cuter! Those big bay blues get me every time. It was really cool to see her walking and with hair too! She was very well behaved for the session and mum, dad and grandma where excellent helpers with the singing and dancing and clapping portion of the session.

As always, with Emma, these are my new favorite images and I can’t wait to put together her 1 year collage with all her best images. She will have a portfolio better than most catwalk models by the time she is 2!
